    Choice Music Prize – Irish Song of the Year 2015 Shortlist Announced

    The Choice Music Prize, in association with IMRO and IRMA, today announces the nominees for Irish Song of the Year 2015.

    Ten Irish songs from across a variety of genres will now go to a public vote. The overall winner will be revealed at the Choice Music Prize Live Event at Vicar Street on Thursday March 3rd.

    The Choice Music Prize – Irish Song of the Year Award recognises the nation’s favourite songs of last year. Every year since its inception, the Irish Song of the Year encourages people to discover new Irish artists by shining a spotlight on the very best songs of the past year. The platform for homegrown Irish music has grown since the Irish Song of the Year Prize was established in 2011, and competition is always fierce.

    The Choice Music Prize is encouraging people to get involved by casting their vote through the Choice Music Prize website here where a full list of the nominees is also available.

    How to Vote & Win Tickets to the Event

    It is the public who will decide the winner by voting online here. All voters are in with a chance to win tickets to the Choice Music Prize Live Event on Thursday March 3rd at Vicar Street and people can vote once a day until voting closes at midnight on February 28th.

    The winning entry will be announced at the Live Event and awarded the Choice Music Prize Irish Song of the Year trophy. The shortlisted songs will be profiled on air across Today FM The Choice Music Prize Live Event will be broadcast live on the night on the Paul McLoone Show on Today FM.

    Tickets for the Choice Music Prize Live Event are on sale from all Ticketmaster outlets and from http://www.ticketmaster.ie, priced at €25.50 including booking fee.
