REIN ME IN has now spent 15 weeks in total on the no. 1 spot, tied third with Despacito for most weeks at no. 1 ever in Ireland! The song is now just 3 weeks shy of equalling Bill Whelan's long-held record with Riverdance, which spent 18 weeks on the top spot in 1994, and 2 weeks off @kingfishrofficial's Killeagh, which spent a total of 17 weeks at no. 1 throughout 2025 and early 2026!

Dublin band REALLY GOOD TIME top the Independent Chart today with their debut album Affirmations, out now via Chromer Industrial! The trio have built up a devoted following over the past year through extensive touring, with support slots for Franz Ferdinand, Gurriers, and The Murder Capital. Do It, the album's third single, soundtracked RTÉ's World Cup coverage this summer. The band will support Super Furry Animals at their Collins Barracks gig on 30 August before embarking on an autumn European tour. CHARLI XCX is the highest new entry today at #3 on the Official Irish Albums Chart with her eigth studio album Music, Fashion, Film, released 24 July via Atlantic Records! The 11-track, 30-minute record was produced with frequent collaborators A. G. Cook and Finn Keane, and the album's greyscale cover art features musician John Cale, designer Marc Jacobs, and director Martin Scorcese.
