Wicked: For Good debuts at #1 on the Official Irish Compilations Chart

Wicked: For Good debuts at #1 on the Official Irish Compilations Chart this week following its joint 21 November release alongside the second Wicked film, becoming the fastest-selling soundtrack of 2025 so far! The album is released via Republic Records and Verve Records and collects the musical performances and score from the new film. The film also currently tops the Irish Box Office Chart.

The soundtrack is led by Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda, with additional performances from Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Ethan Slater and Marissa Bode. Music and lyrics are by Stephen Schwartz, with film music production handled by Stephen Oremus and new arrangements created specifically for the screen adaptation.

The album includes newly recorded versions of songs from the second half of the stage musical, alongside instrumental selections from the film score. Orchestral recordings were completed with a full studio ensemble, while principal vocals were recorded both on set and in studio as part of the film’s post-production process.
