| RAIDS |
|
Approximately 90 raids were carried out in markets,
including Clara, Drogheda, Mad Cow, Balbriggan, Kildare,
Lifford, Kart City, Fairyhouse , Buncrana, Limerick
as well as Puck Fair, National Ploughing Championships
and Galway races.

| SEIZURES |
|
34,000 CDs and 61,000 DVDs were seized in 2007.
A total of 199 CD/DVD burners as well as 21 printers
and thousands of inlays and jewel boxes were seized.

| MARKETS, SUMMER FESTIVALS
AND STREET MONITORING |
|
We continuously check car boot sales, markets, summer
festivals and city streets for pirate sellers. Warrants
are obtained wherever necessary. For certain summer
festivals, we obtain warrants in advance. No music piracy
has been observed on the Dublin streets in the last
couple of years.

| COURT CASES |
|
There were 4 convictions for breach of copyright in
the District Courts. Penalties ranged from fines of
€1,000 to €5,250 to a 6 months prison sentence.
