CHARLI XCX is the highest new entry on the IRMA Official Albums Chart this week as Wuthering Heights debuts at #4! The soundtrack was released on 13 February 2026 via Atlantic Records alongside the cinema release of Emerald Fennell’s film adaptation of Wuthering Heights, starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi.

Originally commissioned to contribute music to the project, Charli expanded her involvement into a full soundtrack album. The record was written and produced by Charli XCX with Finn Keane, Justin Raisen and Nathan Klein, with recording sessions taking place across Los Angeles, Paris and London during 2025. The album is a departure from the sound of 2024’s brat, which topped the Irish Charts in October 2024 and June 2025. The release also follows Charli’s own feature film project The Moment, a mockumentary of her Brat Tour released 26 January and scored by her long-time collaborator A.G. Cook.

The album was preceded by four singles. House, featuring legendary musician and producer John Cale, was released on 10 November 2025 and accompanied by an official music video. The song was inspired by a quote from Cale in Todd Hayne’s 2021 the Velvet Underground documentary, in which Cale said the group’s songs needed to be “elegant and brutal”. Chains of Love followed on 13 November 2025, with Wall of Sound arriving on 16 January 2026. Always Everywhere was issued on the same day as the album. The project also includes a collaboration with Sky Ferreira on Eyes of the World.
