MUMFORD & SONS land at #4 with their sixth studio album Prizefighter!
MUMFORD & SONS’ debut at #3 on the IRMA Official Albums Chart
MUMFORD & SONS’ sixth studio album Prizefighter debuts at #3 on the IRMA Official Albums Chart this week! The record was released on 20 February 2026 through Island Records and the band’s label Gentlemen of the Road and follows their 2025 release Rushmere, which peaked at #10 on the Irish Charts. Prizefighter marks the band’s highest entry since Wilder Mind topped the charts in 2015. The album was recorded in 2025 at Long Pond Studio in New York. and produced by The National’s Aaron Dessner and the band themselves.
Prizefighter was preceded by three singles. The first, Rubber Band Man, features Hozier and was released on 24 October 2025. The title track Prizefighter followed on 12 December 2025, and The Banjo Song arrived on 9 January 2026 ahead of the full album release. Other notable features on the album include Chris Stapleton, Gigi Perez and Gracie Abrams, while Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, Brandi Carlile and Finneas all contribute writing credits.
Mumford & Sons are scheduled to perform in Ireland this summer as part of their Prizefighter Tour. They will headline Marlay Park in Dublin on 5 July 2026, with The War on Drugs confirmed as special guests for the outdoor concert. Tickets for the Dublin show are on general sale now.
