Gavin James lands at #1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart

Gavin James lands at #1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart this week with his fourth studio album, Goldrush! Released on 19 September via Sony Music, the record marks James’ third consecutive Irish #1 after 2022’s The Sweetest Part and his 2020 EP Boxes.

Produced by Dan Dare, James Earp, Corey Sanders, John McGuire, Alex Beitzke, and James himself, the project is structured in two halves, divided by an interlude, with the first section leaning toward more upbeat material and the second focusing on stripped-back, intimate songs. The singles Goldrush and Cherry Cola were released earlier in the year to preview the record.

To mark the release, James is currently playing a series of special events around Ireland. He launched the album with a residency at his pub Doyle’s Corner in Phibsborough and an intimate release show at Róisín Dubh in Galway. He is also appearing at several Golden Discs stores across the country for performances and signings, giving fans the chance to hear the new songs up close. International dates in the Netherlands and the United States are scheduled to follow later this year.
