Ed Sheeran lands his seventh Irish Number 1 album

Ed Sheeran lands his seventh Irish Number 1 album this week as Play debuts at the top of the Official Irish Albums Chart! Released on 12 September through Gingerbread Man Records and Atlantic Records, the record adds to a run of Irish chart-toppers that includes +, ×, ÷, No.6 Collaborations Project, =, and −.

Play brings together a wide range of collaborators including Elvira Anderfjärd, Louis Bell, Cirkut, Omer Fedi, Fred, Ilya, Savan Kotecha, Steve Mac, Johnny McDaid, Blake Slatkin, and Andrew Watt. The album’s release has already been supported by several singles, Azizam, Old Phone, Sapphire, A Little More, and Camera, rolled out in the lead-up to release.

Sheeran is currently wrapping up some dates in the US before returning to Europe for a string of shows. He plays a sold-out show at Dublin’s 3Arena on 9 December. Check out the official music video latest single Camera here.
