GRACIE ABRAMS lands her first Irish #1 album with Daughter from Hell!

GRACIE ABRAMS debuts at #1 on the IRMA Albums Chart

GRACIE ABRAMS debuts at #1 on the IRMA Albums Chart today with Daughter from Hell, her third studio album and first Irish #1, released 17 July via Interscope Records! It follows The Secret of Us, which peaked at #2 in Ireland and produced the massive hit single That’s So True, which spent 13 weeks at #1. Produced by Aaron Dessner of The National, who also helmed her first two albums Good Riddance and The Secret of Us, the record was recorded at Electric Lady Studios in New York, Long Pond in the Hudson Valley, and a studio in London.

Two singles preceded the release. Lead single Hit the Wall, released 14 May, was co-written and produced by Abrams alongside Dessner. Second single Look at My Life followed on 25 June. Marcus Mumford features on album track What If It’s Right?

The album’s title track addresses Abrams’ relationship with her mother, with the singer describing it as pointing to “evolution but also this really deep fear that I might never be able to become the woman I know my mother to be.”
