CHARLI XCX debuts at #3 as OLIVIA RODRIGO reclaims the top spot!

Charli XCX enters the IRMA Albums Chart at #3 this week with Music, Fashion, Film, her eighth studio album, released 24 July via Atlantic Records. The 11-track, 30-minute record was produced by frequent collaborators A.G. Cook and Finn Keane, recorded at Rue Boyer Studios in Paris, and follows her Wuthering Heights soundtrack, released in February 2026 for Emerald Fennell's film adaptation, and 2024’s chart-topping brat.

Three singles preceded the release. Lead single Rock Music, released 8 May, was accompanied by a music video directed by Aidan Zamiri and a limited-edition seven-inch vinyl featuring B-side I Keep On Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night. SS26 followed on 21 May, its video directed by TORSO and depicting a Paris fashion runway show, with B-side Playboy Bunny released two days later on limited vinyl. Third single Wink Wink was released on 26 June. The album's greyscale cover artwork, also photographed by Zamiri, features Welsh musician John Cale, American fashion designer Marc Jacobs, and filmmaker Martin Scorsese.

The album arrives during an exceptionally busy period for Charli XCX across music and film. The A24 mockumentary The Moment, directed by Zamiri and starring Charli as a heightened version of herself at the height of the brat era, premiered at Sundance in January and received widespread critical attention. She is also currently filming an untitled Takashi Miike project in Japan.
