MUSE debut at #8 with their 10th studio album The Wow Signal!

MUSE enter the IRMA Albums Chart at #8

MUSE enter the IRMA Albums Chart at #8 this week with The WOW! Signal, their tenth studio album, released 26 June via Warner Records and their own Helium-3 label. It is their first record since The Will of the People in 2022, which reached #2 on the Irish Albums Chart. The album was produced by Muse alongside Dan Lancaster and Aleks Von Korff, with Bellamy noting that Lancaster pushed the band towards a more modern sound.

The album takes its name from a 72-second radio burst detected in 1977 from the constellation Sagittarius, with a bandwidth and intensity that suggested a possible extraterrestrial source. The lyrics explore themes of cosmic mystery and were shaped by Bellamy’s split from his wife, model Elle Evans, which he has said influenced the writing of much of the record.

Five singles preceded the release. Unravelling was released on 20 June 2025 as the lead single. Be With You followed on 19 March 2026, accompanied by a music video directed by Nico Paolillo and announced via a screen launched more than 20 miles into the Earth’s atmosphere in partnership with aerospace company Sent Into Space.Cryogen followed on 24 April after its live debut at a small promotional show at London’s Brixton Academy, with Hexagons on 19 May and Nightshift Superstar on 5 June. Hush, a duet with Ellie Goulding, was released alongside the album on 26 June.
