OLIVIA RODRIGO scores her fourth Irish #1 on the IRMA Official Singles Chart today with Drop Dead! Rodrigo has previously topped the Irish Charts with Driver’s License (2021), Good 4 U (2021), and Vampire (2023), and the Albums Chart with SOUR (2021) and GUTS (2023).

Released on April 17, 2026 through Geffen Records, Drop Dead is the lead single from her upcoming third studio album,You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, due June 12. The song was written by Rodrigo alongside Amy Allen and producer Dan Nigro, who returns to produce the new record. The accompanying music video, directed by Petra Collins, was filmed at the Palace of Versailles. A representative from Versailles confirmed it is the first time a music video has been filmed inside its royal apartments. A second version of the video, available exclusively on Spotify, shows Rodrigo in a London pub before travelling to Paris, visiting landmarks including the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe.

Rodrigo has sold over 36 million albums globally and received fourteen Grammy Award nominations across SOUR and GUTS, winning Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance at the 64th Grammy Awards. SOUR debuted at number one in over eight countries including Ireland, the UK and the US, while GUTS topped the charts in over 13 countries and generated a chart triple on the Billboard 200, Hot 100 and Artist 100 simultaneously upon release.
