TAME IMPALA are the highest new entry this week on the Official Irish Albums Chart, landing at #6 with Deadbeat. The album, officially the fifth studio release from Kevin Parker under the Tame Impala name, arrives via Columbia Records and was released on 17 October 2025.

Deadbeat is written, produced and largely recorded by Parker between 2023 and 2025 at his home studio in Fremantle and at Wave House in Injidup, Western Australia. The album spans 12 tracks, marking a deliberate shift into dance and club-influenced territory that Parker cites as inspired by Western Australia’s bush doof and rave culture.

The release is preceded by several singles; End of Summer was issued as an early preview and given a physical 12 inch single, Loser followed in September with a video, and Dracula arrived in late September with a Julian Klincewicz directed clip. A fourth single, My Old Ways, was released alongside the album.
