THE SCRATCH land at #7 with Pull Like A Dog!

The Scratch have landed the highest new entry on this week’s IRMA Official Albums Chart

Dublin four-piece The Scratch have landed the highest new entry on this week’s IRMA Official Albums Chart, with their new album Pull Like A Dog debuting at number seven. Released on March 13th via Sony Music Ireland and Music For Nations, the record was produced by John ‘Spud’ Murphy, known for his work with Lankum and Black Midi, and recorded in a 13-day session at Hellfire Studios.

The album was preceded by three singles: the title track Pull Like A Dog, Pullin’ Teeth (feat. Dropkick Murphys’ Kevin Rheault), and Gladrags. The record closes with Ringsend, a reimagining of a poem by Oliver Saint John Gogarty, featuring fiddle from Gareth Quinn Redmond and vocals from Susan O’Neill. Pull Like A Dog is also the band’s first release as a four-piece, following the addition of guitarist Gary “Gaz” Regan to the lineup of Daniel “Lango” Lang, Conor “Dock” Dockery, and Cathal McKenna.

The album has drawn praise from Kerrang!, the Irish Times, Anthony Fantano, Iggy Pop, and BBC Radio 1, among others. The Scratch were also recently named among The Independent’s top ten bands to watch in 2026.
