KEYWEST top the Albums Chart with One More For The Road!
Dublin pop-folk four-piece Keywest top the Official Irish Albums Chart and the Independent Albums Chart this week with One More For The Road, their fifth album and second Irish #1, eleven years after Joyland reached the top spot in 2015. Released on September 25, the album is available exclusively on CD via Golden Discs and is not on streaming platforms. By reaching #1, the band have unseated Olivia Rodrigo's You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love and beaten Taylor Swift's The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, which debuts at #3 today.
The new #1 comes as Keywest wrap up a run of Irish live dates, having played Cork’s Cyprus Avenue and Galway’s Monroe’s last month before a sold out Vicar Street show in Dublin on 25th September. The Vicar Street performance coincided with the release of One More For The Road.
Keywest began their career busking on the streets of Ireland before building a following through live performances, eventually selling out venues across Ireland and the UK and appearing at festivals including Electric Picnic, Independence and Longitude. They have now played more than 300 shows, as well as arena support slots for artists including Bastille, Bryan Adams and Kodaline.
