WESTLIFE have debuted at #2 on the IRMA Official Albums Chart

WESTLIFE have debuted at #2 on the IRMA Official Albums Chart today with 25 – The Ultimate Collection, held off the top spot by The Essential Michael Jackson ! The result means that TAYLOR SWIFT alone will still hold the record for most Irish #1 albums with twelve.

The album and tour marks a quarter century since the band, comprising Shane, Nicky, Kian and Mark, first took to the stage for the Where Dreams Come True Tour. The album features 25 tracks in total, including their 13 Irish #1’s, bringing together 21 classic hits such as Flying Without Wings, My Love, Uptown Girl and Mandy alongside 4 newly recorded songs. Among the new material is Chariot, co-written by Ed Sheeran, Johnny McDaid and Will Reynolds, and produced by Steve Mac.

Beyond Ireland, Westlife’s catalogue has accumulated more than 3 billion streams globally, 14 UK number one singles, placing them behind only Elvis Presley and The Beatles in the UK all-time rankings, and total record sales exceeding 55 million. The band remain the UK and Ireland’s top-selling album group of the 21st century.
